  • First Test - November 21, 2012 - Bangladesh vs West Indies

  • Last Test - April 28, 2015 - Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe

Thursday, October 30, 2025 - I landed in Dhaka from New York, via Kuwait, around 1:15am. I met my driver, Bashir, in the car park after around 10 minutes of trying to locate him. Before heading out on the 5-hour drive south-west to Khulna, we had to make sure that we got petrol for the car. We listened to some funky Bangladeshi music along the way and stopped for about 25 minutes to eat, which is when I saw a picture of Chris Gayle on the restaurant wall. We got to the Stadium in Khulna around 7:15am, and after around 15 minutes of waiting, the security guards finally let us in.... a delay caused by simple miscommunication. One of the guards said, "Are you Rohan"? I said "Yes", then he said "Okay, come in".. All of this was made possible by Mostafizur Rahman Rasel, Stadium Manager.

Khulna, situated in the south-western corner of the country, is the third-largest industrial centre in Bangladesh. It serves as a gateway to the seaport of Mongla and the Sundarbans, the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Khulna is also famous for shrimp processing and newsprint.
